May 21st 2011

I was still in the paper cutting mood so I made this curly little guy.

May 20th 2011

I decided to fall back on my love of paper cutting after getting tired of trying to reinvent my cards each day. I didn't plan out this card but started cutting with just a pair of sharp pointed scissors. This is truly on my favorite list but it is hard to photograph. I think it could be a really interesting way to create lamp shade covers.

May 19th 2011

I was so pleased with how my last cut and paste card came out that I decided to use the newspaper to create a second one. This card used the sale pages from grocery stores. I really like how each item has a unique sheen and different texture to add to the final image.

May 18th 2011

On the 18th I had rediscovered some of my abandoned watercolor papers. This card was a cut piece of saran wrap treated water color paper using browns and black watercolors. I cut out a small section to fit my card size, glued it to a black piece of paper, and embellished with pencil and diamond glaze to make some of it glossy. This particular color theme and technique are previlant in most of my flat work.

May 17th 2011

This card was one that surprised me on this second review. It was simply created by using snippets from magazines of textures and colors. Its all over the map but I really like how it keeps my interested. I think in the future I may expand upon this idea and try to make ones in a color theme for display.

May 16th 2011

For This date I created a card with some of my fancy scrapbook scraps just cut, pieced together and glued to a brown background card. I also added some accents with pencil later.
