May 28th 2011

This card is so fun. I was created with black gel pen paper and the 3m foam tape. I started with full pieces of paper and whittled each layer out to create this topographic card. I love how it looks like the rock formations at the grand canon.

This card I used more of my scrap pack I just sat down and started cutting with the idea of those seed blooms that occur after the dandy lion bloom. I only glued the centers of each piece to allow it to be bent outwards to make it more rounded. I really really like this card.

On the 26th I went outside with a piece of printer paper and copied the shadow that one of the weeds growing near my back porch was casting. The butterfly was cut out and glued with wings bent for dimension.

May 25th 2011

I had acquired a really interesting variety of green papers in a note set so I used them to create this woven and randomly attached card. Order and disorder living in the same space.

May 24th 2011

I adore this card. I was simply made using computer paper, a sharpie drawing pen and yellow puff paint. I just wish that the sheen from the puff paint translated better to the photo.

May 23rd 2011

I adore this card, simply put I started with a black and a white card. I started cutting up the black card throwing out little slips of paper as i went and gluing it to the base white card. Once The main layer was completed I went back with my exact o knife and removed some of the white to create the peekaboo effect. I love working in black and white there's just something about it that always makes me happy.

Ive been having a fun time trying to photograph some of my cut out cards. This one is simple marker on paper with one of my crescent shapes removed. I love playing with layers and this theme will continue on throughout.
